Inferno Drainer, a notorious crypto-stealing malware, has reemerged despite claims of shutdown, pilfering over $9 million from more than 30,000 wallets since November 2023. Cybersecurity firm Check Point Research uncovered the campaign’s continued operation, tracing malicious smart contracts and Discord phishing attacks.

The malware’s operators previously announced cessation of activities, yet forensic analysis reveals persistent infrastructure. "Drainer configs and fake CollabLand bot attacks show sophisticated evasion tactics," a CPR spokesperson noted, citing on-chain data. No specific coins or exchanges were directly named in the breaches.
